COLLAB Productions
COLLAB Productions develops original film and screen projects that connect emerging creatives with experienced professionals, creating real production pathways, local storytelling opportunities and meaningful industry growth.
About COLLAB
COLLAB exists to help develop the next wave of actors, crew and storytellers by creating a practical entry point into screen production. The model is simple: build original productions, connect emerging creatives with experienced mentors, and create professional opportunities through real work, not just theory.
The initiative is grounded in the belief that more Australian stories should be told by Australian creatives, in local settings, with pathways that support long term creative development.
Why this matters
What COLLAB does
COLLAB brings actors, crew and creatives together to develop and produce original screen projects in a professional but supportive environment.
Participants work alongside experienced industry professionals, building confidence, capability and meaningful career connections.
The focus is on creating work that reflects local voices, local places and the richness of Queensland storytelling.
Each production is designed to create practical opportunities, showreel material, mentorship and regional screen industry growth.
How it works
Projects begin with authentic Queensland voices — ideas developed collaboratively from the ground up.
Emerging filmmakers, actors and crew are matched with experienced industry mentors throughout production.
Projects move from development into actual production — not workshops, not theory. Real screen work.
Participants leave with showreel material, professional credits and lasting connections in the screen industry.
